Live at the Opera House Contemporary Music Series
Oriented towards bringing world class talent to he most distinctive shows around the State of Maine. Past performances have included the legendary Joan Baez, Rustic Overtones, Maine’s Finest Female Artists and Dar Williams. Upcoming performances include Ani DiFranco, Cowboy Junkies, Sweet Sounds of Spring featuring Anni Clark, Ellen Tipper, Emilia Dahlin and Marie Moreshead
Classical Music Under the Stars
Hosted at Brown University’s historic observatory, guests enjoyed live classical music, catering compliments of Whole Foods market, Armenian art, an array of fine wines and guided stargazing through a fully functioning 20-foot telescope.
Live Music on the Green
Community members and residents of Providence Rhode Island's East Side enjoyed an afternoon of Live music on the green to benefit programming at the YMCA in Armenia. Hosted in conjunction with Brown University and the YMCA of Greater Providence, the event featured a range of musical genres from around the globe.
Main Street Madness
Athletes and wannabe ballers unite for an afternoon of old fashioned hoops in Downtown Waterville. Last year, the event attracted over 50 teams and created quite a spectacle in the heart of the concourse. Organized by Waterville Main Street, this event is oriented towards bringing families Downtown for an afternoon of fun, healthy physical activity.
Seize the Mic Karaoke Competition
What do you get when you mix the crème de la crème of local talent with cash prizes, a chance to bask in the spotlight at the historic Waterville Opera House and some stiff competition? Seize the Mic is Maine’s premiere karaoke competition and provides the perfect solution to the winter blues. This event is part of Waterville Main Street's annual calendar of community-building events.
Harvest Fest
Hosted in the heart of Downtown Waterville's Castonguay Square, Harvest Fest offers families and people of all ages a chance to enjoy activities such as pumpkin bowling, pumpkin carving, candy-apple making, scarecrow-building, hay-rides, pony rides and more! The Greater central Maine community and Waterville Main Street joins forces to celebrate the fruits of the bountiful harvest.
Parade of Lights
Thousands of people line Main Street to usher in the Holiday spirit to Downtown Waterville. The event culminates with the lighting of the giant Spruce and Santa's arrival into Kringleville (aka: Castonguay Square OR Santa’s winter cabin.)
Hill 'n the 'Ville
This event is designed to facilitate awareness and relationships between Downtown Waterville and the local college student community at Colby, KVCC, Thomas, Unity and University of Maine. This outdoor music festival has featured nationally known acts such as State Radio, John Brown’s Body and Ryan Montbleau
Salsa For Santa
This holiday fundraising event benefits Waterville Main Street's packed season of programming. Featuring live Salsa Music and 'experiential' auction items such as sailboat tours, horseback-riding /tennis/guitar lessons, aerial tours of Central Maine.
